Spencer has been dating Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). Spencer wants to end his relationship with Esme. Spencer has been trying to find a way to get along with Ava Jerome-Cassadine (Maura West). Spencer has not been able to find a way to deal with Ava or Esme.

Spencer has been trying to find information on Esme. Spencer believes that Esme has framed Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) for a crime that she did not commit. Esme filmed Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) having sex for the first time and broadcasting the footage online. Spencer has been working with Cameron and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to get to the truth. Spencer has not wanted to be intimate with Esme because he believes that she is guilty of hurting his friends.

Spencer has been told by Ava that she will give him an allowance from his trust fund if he and Esme will move out of Wyndemere. Spencer told Esme that they would have the money that they would need to move out of Wyndemere and find a new place to live. Esme does not want to move out of Wyndemere. Spencer does not know that Esme wants to stay at Wyndemere because she is trying to seduce Spencer’s father Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

Spencer and Ava have a complex past. Spencer wanted Ava to testify against Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) when he thought that Valentin had killed Nikolas. Spencer came back Port Charles to find a way to break Ava and Nikolas up. Spencer had Esme help him to stalk Ava and Nikolas to try to force them apart. Spencer’s plan did not work. Spencer and Ava have not been able to get close but they share common goals.

Spencer and Ava want to help to bring Esme to justice. Spencer and Ava want to help Trina to clear her name. Ava has been determined to protect Trina and keep her marriage to Nikolas. Ava knows that Esme is threat to Trina and Nikolas. Ava wants Spencer to help her deal with Esme. Spencer is trying to help Ava but is having trouble with Esme.
