GH Spoilers: Sonny And Nina Clash Over Metro Court Purchase

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) could likely have ulterior motives but even so she is going to have to explain herself to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) when it comes to her decision to not only buy Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) half of the Metro Court but then also attempt to gift it back to Carly. Carly will of course not only refuse the seeming offer of goodwill but she will lay into Nina about it.

Carly may have a point. By buying Carly’s half of the hotel, Nina can make it clear that she has resources that Carly currently does not. As viewers know, Carly invested heavily in Aurora Media because she had insider information that the company was about to merge with ELQ. When that deal fell through, Aurora’s stocks plummeted and Carly lost a lot of money. Carly had also sold her shares of the Metro Court to buy Aurora and now is unable to buy it back. Carly could easily see Nina making it clear that even though Carly’s resources may be dwindling, Nina’s are not.

In addition, by offering to give Carly back the hotel Nina is basically painting herself as a good Samaritan. Her public image has taken a huge nosedive after the scathing article that the Invader printed about her recently. Nina may also believe that if she bails Carly out, then Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) might revisit letting Nina have access to her grandson, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver). Even if Nina doesn’t say so, you can bet Carly will point this out.

Sonny won’t be happy with Nina’s decision either. He may not have an issue with Nina buying Carly’s half of the Metro Court but he will certainly not appreciate her meddling with Carly’s future. Carly turned down Sonny’s offer of help so there was no reason for Nina to get involved. Nina will still cling to her good Samaritan image but Sonny will see right through it. This will be one of the first big spats these two will have as a couple and it will be interesting to see if they can come back from this.
