GH Spoilers: Sam Asks Dante for the Truth — But Will He Give It to Her?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is feeling rather uneasy about the conversation she just had with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). She’s no stranger to the game Cody is playing. Running a con is something you never forget how to do, and Sam can spot one a mile away.

She knew when Cody first came to town that he might not be there for the right reasons, but she was willing to get to know him and give him the benefit of the doubt because he was Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) friend. Now that she’s unearthed a few things about Cody, she knows her gut instinct was right. If only she had figured it out sooner, maybe she could’ve spared her relationship of what is about to happen next.

General Hospital Spoilers — Cody Bell Implied Dante Falconeri Is Shady

When Sam pushed Cody to come clean about his intentions with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), he didn’t take kindly to her implications — which were totally on point. Cody did come to Port Charles intending to target Britt and get his hands on Leopold Taub’s (Chip Lucia) necklace. If that was always his plan, why is still here and not scooting off with the necklace already? Sam provoked Cody and accused him of running a con, and using Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to help him. Then Cody struck back with a low blow about Dante’s not-so-spotless past.

Sam cannot forget the words Cody said to her — or how he said them. While he seemed to relish letting loose a bit of the secret about Dante’s past, he also seemed interested in buttoning it up and keeping the secret once he blurted it out. It seems if Cody feels like he has no way out, he lashes out. Sam isn’t going to attempt to get the truth out of him at this point, and who knows when Cody is lying or not. Instead, she will go straight to the source and ask Dante what he thinks Cody was referring to.

Dante isn’t going to answer this question to the best of his ability, and he might try to paint it off as nonsense altogether. This is going to bring a change in Dante’s character that fans aren’t used to. When he came to Port Charles in 2009, he thought he left his past in the past.

Now it seems the past has shown up to haunt him. Dante isn’t ready for the pristine world he’s created with Sam and their kids to be blown apart, and he’s going to try to stem the tide by giving her half the truth. This isn’t the Dante we’re used to. He’s usually so transparent and operates on the honor system.
