GH Spoilers: Obrecht Confronts Britt

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is never far outside of her daughter Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) orbit. When she gets wind that Britt is potentially interested in Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), she’s going to circle around her daughter wanting all the details. Britt isn’t always keen on her mom’s deep interest in her personal life, and she’s not yet sure she even likes Cody like that, but we can rely on Obrecht to push her to dig in deeper and find out.

General Hospital Spoilers — Liesl Weasels Her Way Into Britt’s Love Life

This potentially budding love story started with Liesl, so it’s not a stretch that she’ll want to be peripherally involved every step of the way. When Liesl signed Britt up for Society Setups as a gift, Britt found it impossible to tell her mother no and obliged for a short time. She never really expected to be matched with anyone — much less to someone she would actually like and could see herself getting into a relationship with.

As Liesl starts to press Britt for more information on Cody, she’s going to glean from her daughter’s response and interest in dodging her mom’s questions that there’s more to the story. Don’t expect the German matriarch to give up easily, despite Britt’s pleas for her to back off and mind her business.

GH Spoilers – Indicate – She Wants Britt Westbourne To Move On

Britt has been isolated since she lost Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). While it was painful enough watching him move on with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Jason’s presumed death crushed Britt. Liesl knows her daughter hasn’t really healed from that pain, and she’s a firm believer that the best way to get over one man is to move on with another. She just wants her Britta to be happy and find love again — the best feeling in the world, if you ask Liesl. Britt isn’t asking Liesl though.

General Hospital Spoilers — Cody Bell Might Not Be Good Enough

While Liesl’s interest in Britt’s love life initially starts as a genuine curiosity about the man her daughter is entertaining a relationship with, it’s going to turn into more when Britt gives Liesl reason to be suspicious. Cody’s got some curiosity of his own — about Britt’s past and her connections to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) — and Liesl won’t take kindly to his continued questions about it. We can expect her to keep an eye on Cody as Britt risks blindly excusing his suspect behavior.
