Still at the Quartermaine picnic for charity, Cody and Britt are arguing away, after Britt told Cody in no uncertain terms she didn’t want to talk about either her father or her brother. First they argued about Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and Britt not wanting to talk about him, then Peter August (Wes Ramsey) who she didn’t want to talk about either. No one could really blame Britt for not wanting to talk about either one of them, considering both the men in her family of origin were pure evil.
It would seem the sparks between Cody and Britt are not really the kind to build a relationship on, although fire and ice relationships are full of passion. Cody, exasperated with Britt and her excuses and arguments against a relationship shouts, what is so god awful about the two of them being into each other?
Hamilton Finn, (Michael Easton) who made a major faux pas once again by calling Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) sister, pleads for someone not to shut him out. However, he is not likely talking to Elizabeth, who stomped out of the Quartermaine stables telling him he wasn’t her anything, although he didn’t try to follow her. However, he might be trying to help someone else who stumbles across his path; an extremely drunken Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). At some point, Finn will reach out to Spencer and try to give him some advice and it’s possible Spencer may head for the stables and he encounters him there.
A dazed Elizabeth finally opens up, but it won’t be to Finn, it will be to her years-long close friend Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). She emerged from the woods with blood on her forehead after having another dramatic flashback. This time she was again on the top of the staircase telling the same woman to stay away from her father, only this time she threatened the woman.
Elizabeth is still in a daze as she tells someone, apparently Nikolas, that it happened again. It sounds like Nikolas was someone she confided in about the long-ago incident and possibly her flashbacks.
Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) has caught up to Spencer, and asks the clearly dazed younger Cassadine what he can remember about the last few hours. After learning the truth about Nikolas having slept with Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) Spencer chugged one beer after another. Nikolas caught up to him and tried to stop him, but he ran off from him, Victor witnessing the exchange. A broken Spencer obviously spent several hours trying to numb his pain with alcohol, and now has a hangover from hell and no memory of the night’s events.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) have a fraught exchange, Josslyn telling Nina she’s capable of throwing her out herself. Josslyn talks to Nina like she’s getting ready to take out the trash, and makes it plain she’s not welcome at the Quartermaine picnic even though she saved the day. Olivia Quartermaine’s (Lisa LoCicero) shipment of desserts for the picnic had arrived at the Metro Court instead, and Nina brought them over in her own car.
Later, Josslyn will be a hero to Ava when she finds her in trouble. Someone went after Ava with a hook and stabbed her with it, leaving her on the Quartermaine boathouse deck to die.
Still on the Quartermaine property, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) quizzes old friend Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in the Quartermaine kitchen. Anna may be asking Sonny about his relationship with Nina, since he’s not in any trouble with the WSB. Sonny tells Anna that he can neither confirm or deny anything, wanting to obviously keep whatever she’s asking about to himself. Sonny and Anna go back many years, so he’s not going to pull any punches with her about whatever it is.
Ava’s in trouble on the deck of the Quartermaine boathouse, after someone came up behind her and stabbed her in the stomach with some kind of meat hook. She’s terrified as she cries out to someone not to leave her, and that is likely Josslyn as she discovers her lying there. Josslyn will need comforting herself as this experience promises to be quite an ordeal for her.
Soon, the news will spread that an attempted murder happened at the picnic. There won’t be many who won’t be questioned.
