GH Spoilers: Michael Comes Clean To Carly About His Corinthos Takedown

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has only been back in Port Charles for a couple of weeks, and so far, she’s noticed her son is rather distracted. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has been so consumed by his work lately that he didn’t even notice Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has been battling leukemia all on her own. But that’s not all he’s been up to.

Michael has been hyper focused on getting revenge on his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He just can’t get over the way Sonny treated his family when he returned from Nixon Falls, and Michael is tired of carrying the torch of the Corinthos name with such a stain on it. Determined to take him down, Michael has planted Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) inside of Sonny’s organization to take him down — and Carly is onto him.

Michael might be in the right place at the right time soon — within earshot of his mom and sister discussing why Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) is spending secret time with Dex. This will alarm Michael, as he gave Dex stern orders to keep Joss out of the loop and steer clear of her entirely. So why are they sneaking off together alone?

When Michael grills Joss and appears to be more concerned about Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) and Dex than he does his little sister, Carly is going to question what’s going on with him. It won’t take her too long to figure it out.

When Carly presses Michael, he might feign interest in Dex at first only as Sonny’s associate, citing his concern for Joss getting involved with anyone who is in that line of work. But that won’t explain why he seemed angry with Joss, not worried about her. Carly will be able to tell Michael’s real concern is protecting Dex, and she’s been around this block enough times to know what it looks like when someone is protecting their asset and informant. Michael is going to come clean with Carly, but that doesn’t mean he’s open to hearing her opinion about what he’s doing.

Michael might not want to listen, but Carly is going to voice her concerns. Sonny may be Michael’s father, but he’s shown more mercy on people with lesser attachments to him. Carly isn’t happy with Sonny after the way he ended their marriage, but she also doesn’t want to see Michael and Sonny take their estrangement from one another so far that they can’t ever come back from it. She has married and divorced this man four times now; she knows a thing or two about never saying never. Carly will strongly warn Michael to stop his interference in Sonny’s business before it goes too far, but Michael will make it clear he intends to go all the way until Sonny is ruined.
