GH Spoilers: Michael Breaks Down To His Mom, And She Struggles To Contain Her Anxiety

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) isn’t expecting the news her son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is about to deliver. When Michael tells her Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has decided to search for her birth parents after all, Carly will be beside herself. She never expected this — at least not this soon. Carly’s knee jerk reaction will be to attempt to convince Michael it’s a bad idea, and he’s going to have to come clean to his mom as he’s overwhelmed by trying to explain why this search is so important.

General Hospital Spoilers — Willow Tait’s Birth Parents Are Out There

When Michael tells Carly that Willow is looking for her birth parents, Carly is going to assume it’s a decision they made on a whim. After all, what could change Willow’s opinion this drastically so soon after her mother’s death? A few months ago, she was convinced she never wanted to know who the woman was that really gave birth to her. Carly will presume that maybe Willow feels a longing to know where she came from now that she’s becoming a mother again, and Carly doesn’t really have room to claim that’s not important since she too went chasing after her birth mother – Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman) — many years ago.

The truth is, Carly would be able to get away with never telling a soul about Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) confession — if only she hadn’t shared it with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). At the time, Carly needed to vent, and Drew was a dear friend she knew she could trust and confide in.

However, once Carly got proof via a DNA test that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) really is Willow’s mother, she was convinced she didn’t think Willow should know. Unwilling to burden Drew with having to keep that secret — and probably also not wanting him to talk her into telling the truth — Carly lied to Drew and told him the test showed they were not a match. Now, Drew is helping Willow track down her birth parents, and he’s going to know about Carly’s deceit when the search leads him to Nina’s front door.

When Carly just won’t accept Michael’s answers, he’s going to share the whole truth with her. Hopeful that Willow will forgive him later for sharing her secret without asking her permission first, Michael will tell Carly that Willow has Stage IV Leukemia.

Carly is going to be floored, and she will immediately recognize any further tantrums about Willow searching for her birth parents won’t be tolerated or appropriate. As Michael shares the truth with Carly and tears up in his mother’s arms, Willow just might walk in and instantly recognize what she’s stumbled upon.
