GH Spoilers: Maxie And Austin Are Over — Is This Spinelli’s Time To Shine?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is furious with her beau, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth). She is truly baffled by his behavior and can’t make sense of why he would ever go behind her back the way he has, much less do so while threatening someone else that she loves dearly. When Austin made a plea with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to run his Society Setups algorithm with him and Maxie in mind. Why was it so important for Austin to know how he and Maxie matched up on paper that he resorted to blackmail to make Spinelli bend to his will? Are Maxie and Austin going to be able to bounce back from this? What about Maxie and Spinelli?

Austin didn’t seem very sympathetic when Maxie caught him red-handed. In fact, some fans are speculating he only did this to get rid of Maxie, because he needed her to want to walk away from him. Why? Perhaps his family is getting too close for comfort and he’s worried that harm could come to Maxie or her daughter. Austin’s actions could be out of love, in his own twisted way. Once again though, instead of coming to her with the truth, he still lied, if this is the case.

GH Spoilers – Tease Maxie Jones Admits It Was Already Over

As Maxie mulls over the events of their relationship, she’s going to look back farther than the last twenty-four hours. Austin hasn’t been acting right for some time now, and Maxie is tired of not having answers that add up. When she confronted him about this particular misdeed and compared him to Peter August (Wes Ramsey), Austin was quick to remind her he has only made one misstep, not multiple like Peter did. However, Maxie quickly remarked, “How do I know that?” That’s exactly how she’s feeling now. How does she know for certain that this is the first lie Austin has told her — or that it will be the last? Maxie is on the brink of admitting to herself that things have been over with Austin since well before this stint with Spinelli.

Speaking of Spinelli, Maxie just might be more devastated that he indulged Austin’s demand more so than Austin made it. Spinelli has been in Maxie’s life for far longer than Austin, and they share a child together. He’s seen Maxie through some of the lowest times in her life. Spinelli wasn’t even fond of Austin to begin with and warned Maxie he wasn’t a good pick. It’s going to be a struggle for them to bounce back from this, but as Spinelli helps Maxie pick up the pieces of her broken relationship with Austin and learn from where she thinks she went wrong, he just might find his way back into her good graces — and her heart.
