GH Spoilers: Maurice Defends Writers Again Saying Sonny ‘Has Done Far Worse’

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates reveals Maurice Benard used to defend his character, Sonny Corinthos. However, Maurice is now backing the writers against fan outrage. Is there even a defense for this writing?

General Hospital Spoilers – Carson Fans Are Furious

General Hospital fans of Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Carson) are furious about Sonny sleeping with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Sonny claims that he wants things to work out with Carly but his actions say so much more. Sonny and Carly have broken up and made up time and again. However, neither has directly cheated on the other partner. Sonny and Carly have been broken up any time either of them has slept with someone else even though they have cheated on others together. Sonny and Carly have been together for the better part of twenty-one years. Sonny and Carly had a couple of three-year breaks but were always there for each other even when with other people. Sonny would never dismiss Carly’s feelings about Nina and Carson fans know this.

GH Spoilers – Can Carson Come Back From This?

One General Hospital fan suggested that Sonny cannot come back from this. However, Benard clapped back saying that Sonny had done far worse and he’s still around. Maurice claims that Sonny’s fans are great and he will be fine. However, Maurice is not looking at the fact that Sonny is not acting like himself and fans do not like it. Mike was a fine fellow to have in Nixon Falls but Sonny fans expected the cutthroat mobster to return to himself. Fans wanted Mike dead with the Tan-O and are very upset that he didn’t stay there.

General Hospital Spoilers – Maurice Benard Loves This Story

General Hospital’s Benard says that this is one of his favorite stories in the past 28 years. It really seems that Benard believes as long as he likes the storyline fans should set back and watch. However, there is a reason that fans love Sonny and long-time fans love the mobster. Some Sonny fans may support this but others are appalled that Nina is being encouraged to break up a marriage. Carson fans are very upset that Sonny could not give Carly the time she needed because he loves her. Furthermore, sleeping with Nina is like a kick in the face to not only Carly but to their kids as well.

Benard honestly seems tired of Sonny and if that is true then Sonny needs to run off into the sunset. Some fans simply want their mobster true to himself again.
