GH Spoilers: Liz Will Need Help Crawling Out Of The Hole She’s Fallen Into — And She’ll Call Her Father

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) might have fallen victim to a casualty of being a nurse. She often has to think on her feet and react quickly without error before a situation escalates. She templated that logic to Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) personal life recently, and it’s blowing up in her face.

The decision to pretend she was pregnant was far from realistic or something she would have chosen for herself had she had time to think things through first. But put on the spot, she reacted. Now, she’s dug quite a hole for herself and it just keeps snowballing. Who will she call on for help when it all becomes too much and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is nowhere in sight?

General Hospital Spoilers — Elizabeth Webber is Expecting

At no point is Elizabeth actually going to entertain the idea of really getting pregnant. She just wants to pass herself off as the mother to Nikolas’ child so that no one questions where the baby came from. That being said, there’s quite a bit of time to explain. Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is six months or more pregnant at this point, and Elizabeth is pretending she’s six weeks or less. How is she going to explain the full term baby in her arms just a few months from now without giving rise to suspicion that the baby either isn’t Nikolas’ or she was cheating on Finn far longer than she confessed to?

When Elizabeth reveals her pregnancy to the people she loves and respects the most, the reception won’t be warm and fuzzy. She won’t blame them, but she knows this isn’t how it’s supposed to feel. Further, she won’t enjoy lying to them. She loves her sons, and she knows Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) will have a lot of questions, as will Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James). She doesn’t want to lie to the people she holds so close to her heart, but she won’t feel she has a choice anymore but to let them get invested in a baby that she isn’t really having.

Elizabeth is going to feel like she has nowhere to turn as she fails to feign a pregnant belly. Her colleagues and friends will expect her to blossom with a baby bump soon that never comes, and hiding a fake one while working at a hospital is going to be a tough job. Will she pretend she’s seeing a doctor somewhere else, and how will she dodge questions about why she’s decided not to seek prenatal care at GH?

With too many questions and so few answers, her dad, Jeff Webber (William R. Moses) is going to come back to town just in time to let Elizabeth confess to him out of exhaustion.
