GH Spoilers: Liz Faces Her Parents — And Gets The Answers She Needs

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) hasn’t seen her parents in more than twenty years. While she rarely speaks of either, when they do come up in conversation, the focus seems to be on her dad more so than her mom. When she travels cross-country with Terry Randloph (Cassandra James) to confront her past, she’s not actually intending to confront her parents right away — if at all.

Elizabeth thought if she went to California and back to her childhood home, she might be able to jog some other memories that would make the spotty one she can’t stop recalling make more sense. What she finds in her parent’s house instead will put much more of it together for her than she expected. Elizabeth’s life is about to be turned upside down, and she’s not the only person who will feel the impact of this California earthquake.

When Elizabeth and Terry reached California, Terry reached out to her parents and asked if they would meet her at a local coffee shop. They agreed. This plan was going to help get them out of the house while Elizabeth picked the lock and let herself in. At that point, Elizabeth hoped she would be able to walk around her family home and reminisce enough to reveal whatever her mind is hiding from her. But all she’s going to reveal is herself — to her father.

When Jeff Webber (William R. Moses) walks into the living room and sees a woman standing in it, he’ll initially be startled when the alarm system doesn’t make a sound as he enters his house, until he sees his daughter has finally returned home. The reasons why she’s come back may not surprise him. Certainly, Jeff is going to ask what Elizabeth is doing there, and he will put two and two together about Terry’s involvement. Why the ruse? Why didn’t she tell them she was coming to town? Why go to these lengths to avoid seeing them?

Elizabeth might approach this conversation with Jeff with some heavy hesitation. She doesn’t necessarily feel like she has the clout to just storm into his home — that she’s left behind for the last two decades or better — and demand he answer to her on her terms. Sure, he wasn’t the father she needed him to be, but they’ve long since gone their separate ways.

However, she might be taken aback when she realizes she doesn’t have to pry or issue demands or threats to get the information she wants. Perhaps Jeff is tired of living a lie and ready to come clean — especially if it means he can stop pretending he ever wanted space between himself and his daughter?
