General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that when Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) returns to Port Charles, it will bring an end to the mystery of Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) past; General Hospital viewers might see that the Drug Enforcement Administration has his number!
General Hospital Spoilers – If Marshall Ashford Was Under A Type Of Witness Protection Afforded Through The DEA Jordan Ashford Can Find Out
General Hospital viewers will remember that Jordan, as well as Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) were in the DEA for a series of years undercover, most of it on a team set on taking down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has suspected that Marshall, based on the little information that he has provided him, may have been in some sort of witness protection but he was thinking against mob members and not specifically drug lords.
It does appear that he may have been familiar with the Novak crime family based on that beat down suffered by Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) after making himself a nuisance at The Savoy. Although, it could have simply been a father with some connections taking down a punk that was bothering his son’s business, but whatever he did or had done, General Hospital viewers recall it got rid of Joey! Jordan, as a partially still attached DEA agent, may be able to research more databases than Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) or Curtis himself would – likely, she never came in contact with Marshall personally.
Gh Spoilers – Witness Protection Is Usually Through The Feds
General Hospital viewers know that at least in soap land, witness protection is usually through the feds, although in real life it can be through US Marshalls as well; the WSB initiated the witness protection of Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) along with the PCPD. Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall how devastating it was for his and Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) daughter Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) to be told her father was dead, although there was a joyous reunion later when it was safe.
Any federal policing agency such as the FBI, the DEA or the CIA could initiate witness protection, including inside of a prison if an important informant’s life could be endangered. Molly, however, was a teenager and much older than little Curtis and his brother Tommy Ashford (uncast character) were when Marshall left, also faking his death, and Curtis has been needing a lot of answers! Jordan will be interested when Curtis tells her that his father, who he thought was dead for years suddenly reappeared but has a secret past that sounds like he may have been in witness protection.
General Hospital Spoilers – Jordan Ashford Checks With Facial Recognition Software, Regressing A Photo Snapped Secretly
General Hospital viewers might see a little spy trick going on as someone distracts Marshall while she snaps a cell phone photo to enter into databases that she has DEA access to. General Hospital viewers know Marshall is so secretive he hasn’t even allowed his photo to be taken with any of his family members he claims to love so much-that also strikes Jordan as very odd! That is a strange thing as well for a man who’s apparently been a musician in bands on the road – publicity photos are usually a part of a traveling musician’s resume. Jordan puts the photo she has gotten on her cell phone into facial recognition software, regressing the age a bit and then into a few databases, and she gets a likely match. She calls Curtis for a private meeting at the Port Charles Police Department to give him the results; and it’s very understandable why Marshall is worried; he had indeed gotten tangled up with some very dangerous criminals!
