GH Spoilers: In The Wake Of Rory’s Death — The Door Isn’t Open For Sprina

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals when Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) meets his untimely death at the hands of The Hook, his girlfriend, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will be overwhelmed with grief and guilt. The entire time she’s been dating Rory for these last three months, she’s been in love with someone else — Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). Just as she was getting up the courage to tell Rory the truth and let him down easy, he was taken from her and everyone who loved him in the most gruesome way possible. Moving forward isn’t going to be nearly as easy now.

General Hospital Spoilers — Trina Robinson’s Guilt Consumes Her

Trina is going to feel like this is all her fault. When Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) told Trina and her family that the PCPD had shifted its perspective to thinking The Hook was targeting Trina and anyone who supported her, she already felt so much pain knowing innocent people had died because of her.

However, Rory’s death will bring a new level of grief she’s never experienced before — not even when standing trial for the sex tape scandal. Trina knows Rory would never have become a target had he not been her boyfriend. However, the icing on the cake is that she was just about to free him from that title and pursue her feelings for Spencer. Now, she’s going to feel like the only thing that killed Rory was Trina holding onto him for too long while she tried to make up her mind about who she loved — knowing all along it was never him.

Spencer is going to attempt to see Trina through this phase in her life. While he’s not going to jump to thinking this makes Trina available, he will recognize it since his callous uncle, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy), won’t waste a moment telling him Rory’s death is Spencer’s advantage. Little does Spencer know, Rory has been working for Victor all along, and nothing is really as it seems. Is Rory really gone, and if not, why does he need everyone to think he is? Might Rory be the real Hook, and he’s going to terrorize Trina and her loved ones now while flying under police radar?

Regardless of how little this was actually Trina’s fault, she’s not going to feel comfortable moving forward with expressing her feelings to Spencer now. Any plan she had before Rory’s death about letting him go and telling Spencer she loved him is now indefinitely on hold. She not only needs time and space to process what has happened and grieve for Rory, but she knows it wouldn’t be appropriate to jump into a relationship with someone else — even if her heart has been in it for months.
