At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is excited as she’s talking to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Chase’s recent performance at The Savoy brought the house down, and she’s likely reading reviews. Rave reviews or not, Chase recently admitted he’d give up his music career, in its infancy, for his former career as a detective with the PCPD in a heartbeat.
But for Brook Lynn, who’s managing Chase, this is the chance of a lifetime to make him a star that would surpass her father’s fame. She excitedly tells Chase that “this is huge” and he smiles, but there’s hesitation in his eyes.
At the Quartermaine boathouse, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) who helped Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) dry off after crawling out of the lake talks to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). Ned says he can tell that Olivia is dying of curiosity, considering she was the one who went to Monte Carlo with Robert looking for her. She, Robert, and Holly’s son, Ethan Sutton (Nathan Parsons) had all gone looking but were told she was dead, and were told a burnt corpse with her ring was found. Now she’s back from the dead it would appear, and doesn’t seem any worse for the wear.
At General Hospital, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) approaches Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) with concern, asking why the police would be looking for Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). Obviously, the employees of Deception Cosmetics which would include Maxie have been told that she’s missing, and the update would be missing and presumed dead. Port Charles Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) had advised Martin and Anna that the Coast Guard had advised a recovery mission rather than a rescue mission.
That means that they don’t have any hope that Lucy survived, and they will continue to search for a body. But things may not be as they appear, considering Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is involved, as in the case of the previously presumed dead Holly.
Back at the PCPD, Martin stands with Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Arden (Jennifer Field) after viewing the drone footage that just came in of the docks. It plainly showed someone take two shots at Lucy, with her falling into the harbor. Martin points to Anna and says he wants that woman arrested for murder, but it’s obvious her twin DVX agent Alex Devane (Finola Hughes) isn’t dead.
Anna was at Pier 47 looking for Lucy, while Lucy had been at Pier 55 where she was shot. Anna had shot Alex off the Haunted Star a couple of years ago in self-defense, and she was thought to have drowned but her body was ever recovered.
Back at the Quartermaine boathouse, Robert’s skeptical as he asks Holly where she’s been the past two years. GH viewers know that she was being held hostage in a similar room to that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was in Victor’s compound. There is an excellent chance Victor was holding Holly as well, possibly in the same compound Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was held in, as he mentioned hearing a woman scream.
But they weren’t able to find or rescue the woman, although Liesl, he and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) made it back safely. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had too, although it wasn’t discovered until much later.
Anna was obviously in shock seeing her twin, who she thought she’d killed, take two shots at close range and Lucy fall into the water. She rushes at Victor, still at the PCPD getting ready to leave and hisses a question about what he did. It looks like Victor has had Alex all the time she’s been presumed dead, and now he’s framing Anna for shooting Lucy and possibly killing her. However, there’s a good chance that Lucy is now in one of Victor’s facilities alive, although it cannot be proven.
Still in Jacksonville, Florida Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) finally finds peace, and she and Drew are happily wading in the ocean at the beach. They are laughing, smiling, and obviously having a good time, as they talk. Soon they should be on the way back to Port Charles and “real life” but for now they’re still at the beach.
Carly smiles and tells Drew she likes the sound of that, and he smiles and says so does he. Will they have an announcement to make when they return?
