Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) slip of the tongue gives Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) pause, as she responds with a probing question. Sam draws her conclusion, affirming that’s what he’s been after all along; presumably referring to the necklace left to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Since it appears that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) stole it from the Cassadines after Dominque Stanton (Shell Danielson) wore it in a Deception fashion show he feels he’s got rights.
Britt even told him it looked like he had more rights to it than she does, but Cody’s not saying everything. He’s not admitting that the DNA test he took shows Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) his father, not Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia).
Cody has some questions of his own as he touches base with Britt, who’s in her office at General Hospital. He apparently tried to call her the night before and she never answered, so he asks why. Britt was out trying to forget her troubles with her best friend Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), it’s clear she’s worried about the progression of her Huntington’s Disease. She’s starting to have problems swallowing and that’s not a good place to be; it’s the first step to not being able to do her job or live her life.
At GH, Maxie confronts Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) about the surgeries he’s been doing, wanting to know if he’s really been doing them or if it’s a cover. Austin looks calm, cool and collected, but at the same time confused, and he is obviously thinking about what answer he should give. She may just want to know why he’s cancelling dates because of having to do surgeries, not suspecting the surgeries are on drug mules.
Austin will have to think fast and try to gauge why she’s asking her question – he’s in over his head in something he doesn’t want to be involved in. Perhaps the best way is just to come straight out and ask her why she’s asking.
At the Port Charles Police Department, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) smiles at Mac and says that’s a great start. Mac opens up to Felicia, and it’s probably about his real feelings of disappointment that Cody isn’t his son after all. He has to keep a positive attitude and that’s probably what Felicia is talking about being a great start.
Of course, Mac and Felicia have no idea that Cody lied about the paternity test. They’ll just keep laboring under false assumptions until and if the truth comes out.
At the safe house where Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been staying, a sad Valentin delivers a warning. It’s more of a sad warning than a stern one, but he embraces her and tells her she’s no longer safe for her to be there anymore. They’ll have to move her somewhere safer because apparently her location has been compromised.
Right now, they have been in one of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) safe houses, and they’ll have to move somewhere safer. Perhaps Laura can find somewhere, or they can go somewhere out of the country.
Looks like Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) pops out of nowhere at the pier, asking someone if they’re going his way. Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) may encounter him as she’s trying to return to Port Charles from attending to a false alarm at Wyndemere. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma, temporarily Adam Huss) had called her to check Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) who was trying to fake a miscarriage. Or, it could be someone else that has a close encounter of the worst kind with Victor.
Robert confronts Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) as they sit together at the Metro Court. He knows when something’s wrong and he tells her so. Little does he know how wrong, as she was the one impersonating Anna when Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was shot off the pier. Laura had pointed out to Robert not all was right with Holly and she could tell she was hiding something.
Robert will be in a conundrum when the truth comes out and he realizes one ex-wife impersonated his other one, under duress from Victor. There has to be more to the story as Holly’s acting very guilty.
Laura will meet with Victor, and that could be who Victor greets down at the pier; she gives him a stern warning that she’ll take him apart. Laura will not mince words in this meeting with Victor, and she won’t back down either. She knows Anna didn’t shoot Lucy and also knows he has a plant in her office. Victor will find out he can’t intimidate or blackmail Laura into obedience to him.
