Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) continues his conversation about Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) with his father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison).Finn has decided to risk his relationship with her in favor of contacting her parents about her past for her own good. Finn tells Greg he can’t look the other way even if Elizabeth hates him for it.
Finn cares more about Elizabeth’s health and welfare than he does about his relationship with her. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, if he’s willing to sacrifice his own happiness for her well-being.
Elizabeth, in the meantime is remembering more pieces of the puzzle as she had a memory of arguing with a woman on some stairs. She told the woman to stay away from her father but she looked to be much older than a small child. She appeared to be a young teenager as they were nearly equal in height. Elizabeth does appear to confide in someone, whether it’s Finn or someone else; she tells someone they deserve to know the truth. The question is whether she’s talking about her own truth or is she talking to someone else about theirs?
In a room at GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) asks someone if Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) upset them, so that could be him that Elizabeth confided some truth in. As Elizabeth had been treating Scott’s nose injury inflicted on him by Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) he had mentioned her parents to her and she was triggered. The only other person it could be is perhaps Lucy Coe, (Lynn Herring) who Scott had collided with outside the elevator on his way from Elizabeth checking his nose.
Scott had mentioned Cody Bell by name and of course Lucy couldn’t not be affected by the name “Bell”. The late Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans) had been Dominique Baldwin’s (Shell Danielson) half-sister so she would have been Cody’s half-aunt.
At Kelly’s Pub, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) catches up with her youngest daughter Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) who looks rather upset. In fact, Molly looks like she’s going to cry as Alexis asks her if no news is good news. Molly had been recused from working on Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) case as an intern in the Assistant District Attorney’s office. Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Arden (Jennifer Field) didn’t like losing the case when District Attorney Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) stepped in and overruled her. Did ADA Arden take it out on Molly and fire her?
At the Metro Court Pool, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) confronts Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) as she wants to know if he’s been holding out on her. Recently, Cody made a cover story of what he knew about Spinelli’s real reason for Society Setups by claiming Spinelli’s got a crush on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Of course, that wasn’t true and Maxie recently talked about her getting Spinelli straightened out to Britt.
Spinelli is actually using the app as a cover for getting information on people without their knowledge, seemingly in some kind of investigation. At least it’s hoped it’s for investigative purposes and he’s not so desperate for money he’s selling it to third parties.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has a heart to heart talk with his mom, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). Dante is afraid that he messed up with Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco) by pushing too hard for them to move in together at his place. Sam had balked at his suggestion, citing that it had been his and Lulu Spencer’s (most recently Emme Rylan) place even though he assured her he’s moved on. There has to be some reason that Sam’s holding back but even she may not realize or want to admit it – maybe she’s carrying a torch for a former love?
At Kelly’s, Sam explains herself to someone, and seems to be talking about moving in with Dante. She says to the woman at the table with her if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The woman is dressed differently than her mother, Alexis, or sister Molly who are also there. Whoever she’s confiding in is obviously aware of the situation.
Sam is definitely making excuses to herself and to others about not proceeding further with Dante. Eventually, the truth will come out.
Britt is definitely not having a good second date with Cody as he seems to be striking out with her no matter how hard he tries. It doesn’t look like he’s had a great deal of experience with women or relationships because it’s almost like he’s making teenage mistakes. Britt looks hurt as she asks him if what he’s just told her is a compliment or a cheap shot. Cody could use some relationship lessons, no doubt.
