GH Spoilers: Esme Plans A New Year’s Eve Escape — To Spring Ridge!

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has the ultimate escape plan in mind scheduled for this New Year’s Eve, and no one will see it coming. When Esme breaks loose, all hell will join her. But where is she headed and what is her plan to make sure Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) can’t find her and cart her off back to Spoon Island? Esme might head for the nearest ally, who is locked up in a jail cell, but she also might take her chances on getting out of dodge again.

Esme has been busy wooing Demetrius (Ari Kappatos) into feeling sympathetic to her and sorry for her plight. The hostage situation has been wearing on him for some time, but so far, he’s followed his boss’ orders knowing he would most certainly lose his job if he didn’t.

Seeing as how Nikolas recently bought a Christmas tree for Esme and helped her adorn it, he won’t see the harm in keeping her company during a candlelit dinner on New Year’s Eve. Esme has big plans for those candles, which will light that tree ablaze and secure her freedom from the north tower long enough to get away.

GH Spoilers Hint Everyone Will Be on the Water

The bulk of Port Charles will be at a spectacular gala that evening on the water aboard the Haunted Star as they ring in the new year while celebrating Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) birthday. It’s possible Esme might head there after overhearing Nikolas’ plans to attend, but she also might think being anywhere near him is a very bad idea. If anyone saw her that could recognize her — which is likely aboard that ship — she might only make it as far as the nearest jail cell. Instead, she might head straight to the jail on her own accord — to see her demented father, that is.

Esme could decide Spring Ridge is the first place she needs to run to. She needs to check in with her father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), and let him know she’s okay and that her plan is — mostly — working. While she’s there, she will get the surprise of her life when she finds out her birth mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) is also there waiting for her. Will this sick and twisted family reunion be the foundation for breaking these two maniacs out of Spring Ridge and going on the run with Esme and Nikolas’ baby in tow?
