GH Spoilers: Esme Isn’t Pregnant — But She’s Planning for a Baby

When Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) blew back into Port Charles, she had an agenda on the books from the very start. Conspiring with her birth father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), we got a sneak peek into what Esme has in store for her enemies lying in wait. While she’s since revealed herself to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), no one else knows Esme is back — at least not that we’re aware of.

General Hospital Spoilers — The Belly Bump That Isn’t

When Esme lifted her maternity shirt to reveal her stomach to Nikolas and forced him to embrace his alleged child, it wasn’t clear whether Esme was really showing her stomach, nude clothing underneath that was mostly covered by maternity leggings, or a prosthetic. Hey, we’re not putting anything past this girl.

Some fans are assuming Esme is pregnant by someone else and passing the child off as Nikolas’ heir, knowing a paternity test could be faked. But Esme’s plans involve faking a whole lot more than DNA tests. Although Esme isn’t really pregnant, someone is. Someone else has a baby on the way, and Esme has big plans for making sure it’s delivered to Spoon Island.

GH Spoilers – Indicate Esme Price Has Help Lined Up

According to General Hospital spoilers, it’s highly unlikely that Esme can pull this stunt off on her own. Even with the brains of an extraordinary criminal mastermind like Ryan at her disposal, his means are limited as long as he’s locked up and pretending to be locked-in. Esme is going to need someone with money, connections, power, and motive to help her.

The only reasonable person possessing those qualities is Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy). Will she be able to bring Victor on board with her baby snatching scheme, or is he the one who helped her birth it in the first place? Victor is certainly gunning for the Cassadine fortune, and cozying up to any possible heir to it is his best bet at getting his paws on it.

It’s not clear yet how this will go down. Given that Esme isn’t really pregnant, two women don’t actually have to go into labor at the same time. Rather, Esme just has to pretend she’s in labor when Willow is. This may be made even more convenient if Willow ends up having a scheduled induction for labor due to being so ill with leukemia.

Regardless, when Willow gives birth, we’re going to be looking for someone to be in the delivery room that Victor has compensated well for their discretion and ability to kidnap a baby. Victor and Esme might arrange for Nikolas to be in town and not on Spoon Island when she goes into labor. Conveniently, Victor will be there to assist her as she gives birth, and when Nikolas returns to the castle to meet his alleged child, no one will suspect the baby came to be there through anything other than natural means.
