GH Spoilers: Emma Samms Teases Holly Sutton’s Return

General Hospital spoilers indicate that some opera characters simply should not be recast and Holly Sutton is one of them. Emma Samms had returned as Holly before the COVID-19 epidemic struck shutting down the biggest part of our country as well as the world. Now, roughly two and a half years later, Emma is back to continue the story.

General Hospital Spoilers – A Long Hard Battle With Covid

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Emma came down with Covid in March 2020. Of course, like most people who contracted the illness, the hope was that Emma would get well and Holly’s story would continue. Why was Holly being held captive? Who was holding Holly? Who wanted to fake her death allowing her son to believe she was gone? Who wanted Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) off that case?

As eager as Emma was to provide those answers, she has simply been unable to return to work until recently. Some people who get Covid suffer for months and something years afterward. Emma happens to be one of those people. However, instead of pushing her out, General Hospital executives devised a plan to have Holly kidnapped and presumed dead until Emma was able to return.

GH Spoilers – Emma Samms Recently Returned

Recently it was announced that Emma had returned to reprise the role she originated in July 1982. Holly was with Luke Spencer (ex-Tony Geary) who ended up being presumed dead in an avalanche but later turned up alive. Of course, Luke found his girlfriend married to his best friend, Robert when he returned.

Robert had not been trying to take Luke’s girl, he was trying to keep Holly, who was pregnant with Luke’s child, from being deported. Of course, as luck would have it, Holly suffered a miscarriage. Unfortunately for Luke, Holly and Robert also fell in love while cohabitating and were married for nine years. Holly and Robert are still very fond of each other. This is exactly why Robert went looking for her.

General Hospital Spoilers – Emma Samms Is Better Now

Emma is better after this over two-year battle with Covid and is ready to pick up where she left off. Of course, Holly is still being held hostage but it seems that Robert and Anna seem to be the ones looking this time. Does this mean that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is behind her kidnapping?

Anna is trying to find information now to put Victor away and free Charlotte Cassadine (Amelia McClain) from her grandfather’s clutches. Will the search for Charlotte lead to clues that reveal Holly is alive?
