GH Spoilers: Curtis Gets Mental Illness Test Results

General Hospital spoilers tease Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has known for some time now that he might be a carrier for Schizophrenia. He just wasn’t sure he wanted to know what fate might have in the cards for him or his potential children. It might not have been such a pressing decision to make when he wasn’t sure he would ever be a father. However, the future he thought he would have is changing rapidly, and Curtis came to realize he couldn’t move forward in good conscience without knowing the truth.

Curtis gets his test results this week and will be immensely relieved to know he cannot pass the gene for Schizophrenia onto his children. The weight on his shoulders will instantly lift, but he’s not going to understand why Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) still looks so concerned. Could it be that part of Portia was hoping Curtis would be affected just so she’d feel more compelled to tell him the truth? It certainly wouldn’t have made it any easier, but Portia isn’t going to have any desire to come clean now.

According to General Hospital spoilers, when Curtis hears he’s got a clean bill of health, he just might see his future flash before his eyes. While he never doubted that Portia was serious about marrying him and sharing her life with him, he knew the three children they spoke of having might not be a wise addition to the picture of a happy life in his head if he was a carrier for Schizophrenia. Once he realizes there is no black cloud of potential illness hanging over his head, he’s going to be overjoyed to start a family with Portia. Little does he know, they already did nearly twenty years ago.

As Portia and Curtis inch closer to their wedding date, it’s going to become more and more difficult for her to face him and not tell him the truth. Still, it’s unlikely he’s going to hear it from her mouth anytime soon. In fact, she might not be the one to tell him Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is his daughter.

Instead, he might get the truth from his ex-wife, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) — the one he thought he couldn’t trust. Will Portia double down and refuse to tell Curtis the truth knowing Jordan is aware of it? Will holding on to the truth cripple Portia’s love for Curtis before they even get to say their vows? It’s about to get tense in the Ashford-Robinson household.
