GH Spoilers: Cody Bell Is The Real Cassadine Heir, and Victor Knows It

General Hospital spoilers reveal Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has been in Port Charles for a few months now, and given that he’s submitted to a DNA test to determine if Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is his father, not one is questioning where Cody came from anymore.

Everyone seems to accept the narrative that his mother is Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson) as well. But the truth is slowly coming to light that Cody’s real interest in coming to town was to find the necklace Peter August (Wes Ramsey) left behind. Now that we know Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) is also interested in this necklace, it makes sense that the two of them may be working together. How would Victor find Cody though, and where did he come into play?

General Hospital Spoilers — Cody is Nikolas’ Son

The necklace Cody is chasing is owed to him, the way Cody sees it. Likely having belonged to Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers), it is part of the Cassadine fortune. Yes, that’s right. Cody may be a Cassadine! When Cody first came to town, he was presumed to be the child of Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans), and he quickly rebuked that and insisted Dominique was his mother. Was that the truth though? If he was the son of Katherine, that would likely mean his father is the last man Katherine was involved with in Port Charles — Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

According to General Hospital spoilers, Katherine and Nikolas were embroiled in a long affair gone wrong, and Helena just couldn’t stay out of it. Katherine actually fell to her death from the parapet when Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) loosened the railing in hopes Helena would fall. Fortunately for Katherine, Helena had a life-saving experimental drug on hand that brought Katherine back to life.

When Katherine attempted to get pregnant the following year in hopes of sealing the deal on a scheme she was working to fool Nikolas into marrying her while pretending to be pregnant, a doctor told her the drug given to her that brought her back to life likely rendered her infertile. Katherine later died when Helena pushed her from the same parapet — or so we’re told.

GH Spoilers Tease His Mom May Not Be Dead After All

If Katherine really did conceive Nikolas’ baby and managed to survive the fall to her alleged death in the waters around Wyndemere, she could’ve been swept away and chose to raise her child elsewhere — away from Helena and all things Cassadine. That does leave one loose end though. If Katherine lived, where is she now? Longtime GH fans are practically salivating over the hopeful return of Mary Beth Evans to reprise the role.

General Hospital Spoilers — Victor Sent Cody to Port Charles

It may have even been Victor who helped Katherine carry this out, and now he’s come calling on Cody to help him settle the score and claim that necklace as repayment. Is Cody actually interested in claiming the necklace he coaxed Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) into unearthing, or is this just Cody doing Victor’s bidding all along?
