GH Spoilers: Carly’s Peace With Her Past Doesn’t Erase Lies In Her Present

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) recent peace made with her past doesn’t erase lies in her present. She’s still keeping Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth mother a secret from her, which she may need to know soon; Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may be needed to save her life.

General Hospital Spoilers – Keeping This Secret Could Blow Up

Now that Carly and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) romance is set to start, the whole thing could blow up in her face by keeping this secret. Carly promised Drew when he helped her get DNA from Nina and Willow that if it matched, she’d tell the truth. Granted, she had made a promise to Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) on her deathbed that she wouldn’t tell Willow her birth mother was Nina.

But now, with Willow becoming more ill and possibly needing a bone marrow transplant, doesn’t telling her the truth trump that deathbed promise? And what about that bald faced lie she told Drew about the DNA test coming back not a match, won’t that come back to bite her?

GH Spoilers – Saving A Cemetery Falls Flat

Carly’s whole becoming a better person, trying to save the cemetery where Virginia Benson’s (Lois Nettleton) buried and getting peace with her past falls flat. Peyton Honeycutt (Linda Purl) made some good points when she said Caroline Benson never cared about her adoptive mother’s burial place or her hometown once she left. It sounds like the writers just needed somewhere to put Carly to keep her safe from the Hook, or perhaps the Hook safe from Carly! Making peace with the past doesn’t do any good if she’s going to continue on the same lying path in the present, possibly endangering lives over a grudge. If Willow or her baby dies because of Carly’s grudge against Nina, all her Jacksonville soul-searching didn’t do her much good or anyone else.

General Hospital Spoilers – A Big Decision

Upcoming GH spoilers reveal Carly and Drew will look to the future and Carly will have a big decision to make as Willow gets a health update. It sounds like Carly will have to make the decision to come clean about what she knows regardless if she has to confess her lie to Drew. Also during the period of October 17-October 28 Carly will have peace; perhaps the peace comes as a result of her Jacksonville soul searching.

Sure, she will make that decision to come clean about Nina being Willow’s birth mother with some fear of what Drew will think. However, he should be understanding if she also tells him her promise to Harmony on her deathbed.
