GH Spoilers: Carly’s New Career, Takes Over The Haunted Star?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) might find a new career quicker than she thought. She has been unofficially taking care of her cousin Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Ryan) boat, the Haunted Star, since she’s been in a coma but now arranges to take it over officially and starts using it more.

General Hospital Spoilers: Lulu Spencer Has Been In An Indefinitely Lasting Coma Nearly Two Years

Carly’s cousin Lulu has been in an indefinitely lasting coma for nearly two years, and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has taken her power of attorney. Lulu’s divorce had been final from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) for several months by the time he returned to Port Charles. Lulu was injured by debris in the explosion of the Floating Rib, with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) taking custody of their daughter Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McClain).

Laura learns of Carly’s plight losing her half of the Metro Court and she semi-cons her into taking her help. She puts it to Carly she wants her to take over the Haunted Star officially, to make it successful again with a clause to return it to Lulu if she recovers.

GH Spoilers: Carly Corinthos Takes Laura Collins’ Deal And Gets To Work

Carly is more than happy to take Laura’s deal and quickly gets to work – Laura has given her great flexibility in décor and use. The first thing she takes on is having the Haunted Star remodeled on the inside; especially the galley-style bedrooms, which really haven’t been used very much.

The first one she tackles is the one where she caught Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in bed in, and seals it off. The rest will be redone as floating hotel rooms, and she has a vision to make it something that would honor her late Uncle Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). It will be a floating nightclub in the style of “Luke’s Club” and feature all the best jazz and blues music, a fine restaurant and hotel.

Carly shares her news with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Olivia Quartermaine, (Lisa LoCicero) and of course her son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). They have all been worried about her since she’s been too stubborn to take help from anyone, and she hadn’t even told her mother Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) about her loss. But now she has good to tell to temper the bad so she shares the news with her mother also, and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

Drew is thrilled and the first time he is invited to see the new Haunted Star, he’s glad to see that one bedroom is sealed. It’s the same one Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) tried to rape him in trying to make a new baby to replace their son Oscar Nero (Garren Lake Stitt).

GH Spoilers: Carly Corinthos Considers Changing The Name But Isn’t Sure

Laura allowed for Carly changing the name, and considering all the “haunting” things that have taken place on that boat she thinks about it. But she just makes a slight change –and calls it “The New Haunted Star Floating Blues Club”. Bobbie is proud of her keeping up part of Luke’s legacy, and everyone else is happy for her. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is impressed, and doesn’t think it will compete to the point of putting his club “The Savoy” out of business because it’s a different venue type. Carly sets up a highly publicized opener, having a talent contest with the winner getting a free vacation aboard.
