GH Spoilers: Carly Grows Suspicious Of Elizabeth’s Trips To Spoon Island

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was expecting Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to be a bit more straightforward with her when she stopped by with questions about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). How could Elizabeth have seen that Esme was with someone else but not have noticed anything about that person? What direction did they go in?

Did they say anything that Elizabeth might’ve overheard and could mean something? Carly was already worried about her daughter’s safety since Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) made it clear the investigation of The Hook was shifting gears, and that they believed anyone close to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is a target. Now that she knows Esme has been spotted in Port Charles, Carly is determined to track her down.

Going to Elizabeth’s probably wasn’t the best idea. Liz and Carly don’t hold any love for one another. In fact, most would consider them enemies. Although they keep it cordial for their kids’ sake, even Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) know Liz and Carly are far from friends. Showing up unannounced on Liz’s doorstep wasn’t Carly’s best move if she was hoping Liz would share insider information with her.

These two always seem to be second-guessing one another when it comes to who cares about their kids more. Instead of approaching Liz mother-to-mother as a peer who is undoubtedly just as concerned about her son, Carly busted in with her holier-than-thou attitude demanding Liz answer to her like she’s a child. Needless to say, Liz didn’t tell Carly a word about Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) being on the pier.

Carly might’ve left Liz’s place disappointed and more frustrated than ever. We all know what happens when Carly feels backed into a corner. So, when Liz grabs her coat and heads for the door, Carly won’t hesitate to follow her. Where might the good nurse be trudging off to alone at that time of night after just suffering a concussion? Carly is going to find out.

Once inconvenient truth about going to Spoon Island is the inability to follow someone else there without getting caught. Carly can hardly jump on the launch with Liz and follow her to Wyndemere. She would be noticed right away. But knowing Liz is headed there will pique Carly’s curiosity in a whole new way, and she’s going to start digging in Nikolas’ direction.
