Up until their time together in Jacksonville, Carly had been holding back concerning her feelings for Drew. There were so many reasons that Carly felt it wouldn’t work between them. Carly’s best friend before he died was Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Drew’s twin brother. Carly was hesitant to start something new with Drew. But Drew was persistent and Carly finally admitted that she wanted Drew as much as he wanted her.

Viewers may recall that not all that long ago, Drew and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) considered merging ELQ with Drew’s company Aurora Media. Carly got wind of their plans and invested heavily in Aurora. But the deal fell through and Carly lost quite a bit of money in the deal, including her half of the Metro Court. But that may not be the end of it. Because Carly invested money in Aurora based on inside information about the merger, she could be investigated for Insider Trading. She could even face prison time.

Have To Hide Their Feelings For Each Other!

One way to possibly avoid an SEC investigation is if Drew and Carly remain just acquaintances in the public eye. This would mean that they can’t take their relationship public. They will have to remain casual friends as far as the world is concerned. Carly won’t want to hide her feelings and this could cause trouble for the new couple even before they have a chance to start a real romance. Could this new romance end even before it had a chance to begin?
