General Hospital’s Johnny Wactor, who plays Brando Corbin believes that the next Luke and Laura are already on screen. Who does Wactor believe can fit the bill as the new Luke and Laura? Wactor believes none other than Brando Corbin, his own character, and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) have what it takes. Wactor confided in Soap Opera Digest that he hopes after baby Liam’s death that Brando and Sasha will become the next Luke and Laura. Sasha and Brando have been through so much and this would be something to look forward to.

General Hospital’s Wactor has set his sights pretty high considering the history behind Luke and Laura. Jumping from a tragedy stemming from a one-night stand to one of the greatest romances in General Hospital history is a bit of a jump. As controversial as Luke and Laura’s romance was, they ended up being a great love story at a time when the show needed to be saved from certain cancellation. Gloria Monty thought that bringing new blood and new romance to the show would save the show. However, Sasha and Brando aren’t saving the show from anything.

General Hospital’s Wactor likes happy endings and hopes that Sasha and Brando can have that. After all, Brando and Sasha need a little happiness now that their son is gone. Brando and Sasha love each other but is it enough to keep them together now that their baby has died? Sasha seems to be on the verge of falling off the wagon and back into her drug addiction. Can Brando save Sasha from herself and the drugs? Could Brando and Sasha embark on an adventure that brings them closer and eventually gives them children in the future?

Brando and Sasha have several fans but they don’t have the fanbase that Luke and Laura had in the past. Will Brando and Sasha be together in the future or will their relationship end because Sasha’s demons could not be beaten? Will Sasha and Brando be the new Luke and Laura? Only time will tell.
