GH News: Ricky Martin Denies Allegations Of A Sexual Relationship With His Nephew

General Hospital (GH) alum Ricky Martin is denying all of the allegations that have been made against him suggesting that he had an inappropriately “sexual and romantic” relationship with his nephew. This comes after reports said that a younger family member in Puerto Rico had accused the singer of domestic abuse. Ricky could possibly face 50 years in prison if the accusations are true. Ricky’s lawyer, Marty Singer, told the press in a statement, “Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges. Ricky Martin has, of course, never been — and would never be– involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew,” the Hollywood heavyweight litigator added. “The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting.”

“We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs,” Singer said. “But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts.”

Earlier in the month, Ricky was hit with a restraining order, but the accuser’s name was withheld. But now Ricky’s brother, Eric Martin, revealed the identity of the accuser as his 21-year-old nephew. His name is Dennis Yadiel Sanchez. According to Dennis, his uncle had “exercised physical and psychological attacks” against him.

General Hospital News: What’s Next For Ricky Martin?

Because of incest laws in Puerto Rico, Ricky Martin can face up to 50 years in prison if the allegations turn out to be true. He is expected to return to Puerto Rico on July 21 to begin his trial. That said though, Ricky appears to be moving on with his day to day like as he was seen on the set of his new film, “Mrs. American Pie,” in Los Angeles this past week.
