Ainsworth is currently a recurring member of the cast. She has been traveling since March and in an essence trying to spend more time with herself after a break-up with her boyfriend with whom she lived for five years. In a recent Instagram live chat with Maurice Benard who plays her on-screen father, Sonny Corinthos, Ainsworth revealed that she is ready to come back to the show once they call.
In fact, in response to a comment on one of her Instagram posts, she noted, “thanks for watching all these years! I grew up watching with my grandma. It’s nice that the show can bring people together. I would love to come back and have some scenes with Cynthia! I think she’s so talented and of course, would love to have scenes with my fam.”
Fans would love to see Kristina go face-to-face with Cynthia Watros’ Nina Reeves and so would we. But they would also love to see Kristina get a storyline of her own and a romance. Her last pairing was with Dr. Parker Forsyth (Ashley Jones) and that story came to a quick end. Now, fans are suggesting that Kristina be paired with Cassandra James’ Dr. Terry Randolph and Ainsworth likes the idea.
When the subject was brought to her attention, Ainsworth quickly said, “I’d ship it.” Ainsworth, when asked if she would be open to a Terry and Kristina romance said, “Why not! We’ve never had scenes together but would love to work with her.”
Kristina is probably one of the least seen Corinthos children on the ABC daytime drama and we would love for that to change. We want to see Kristina have a storyline, we want to see more of her, we would love to see this amazing Daytime Emmy award-winning actress on the canvas and on contract!
