General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates reveals Emme Rylan has tested positive for COVID! Rylan joins the long list of daytime soap opera stars who have caught the virus over the past two years. The virus has been going on for quite a while and while some soap stars may have escaped it thus far, Rylan has been lucky until now.
General Hospital Spoilers – Emme Rylan Made The Announcement on Instagram
In breaking the announcement, Rylan said in a video on her Instagram page, “I made it… How long has this been going on? I made it two years without catching COVID. Until now. Oh my goodness. Don’t know where we got it. Jackson, me, and Don, we all have symptoms, I’m the worst one because I eat more vegetables than them and drink more water, and always get sicker. And work out more than them too. It’s so unfair! We’re okay-ish. I basically am coming out of a three-day straight fever,” she confessed, adding with a sarcastic smirk that being sick was “super fun.”
Rylan and her fiance and eldest son, Jackson are all experiencing the symptoms of the virus and we hope they have a speedy recovery. As we mentioned before, Rylan is not the only soap star to have caught the virus, her former General Hospital co-star, Emma Samms (Holly Sutton) had also caught the virus and has been going through a long covid. Also, her former onscreen brother, Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas Cassadine) recently revealed that he tested positive for the virus.
GH Spoilers – Other Soaps Stars Have Tested Positive
Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) and Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman Chancellor, The Young and the Restless) are some other stars who recently tested positive for covid. Both who were nominated at the 49th annual Daytime Emmy Awards on June 24, 2022, were unable to attend and had quarantine, missing some time on the job as well. Thompson was otherwise affected as he had to miss the wedding of his dear friends.
Rylan played Lulu Falconeri on GH. She also played Abby Newman on Y&R and Lizzie Spaulding on Guiding Light. We are sending well wishes to her and the entire household. Let’s hope this is the shortest covid experience for her and her beloved family.
