GH Spoilers: Will Dex Turn On Michael To Stick With Sonny?

Ever since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) came back from Nixon Falls and failed to hold Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) accountable for her role in stealing him way from his family, his son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has beared a grudge that only the child of a man like Sonny could hold. Determined to take Sonny down and make him pay for his mistakes, Michael set out to infiltrate Sonny’s world of organized crime and take him down from the inside out. But he knew he would need help, and that assistance came in the form of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Now that Sonny is smelling a rat, where will Dex’s loyalty lie?

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corintos Has More Resources To Make Dex Heller Talk

Dex just met “the carver,” who is Sonny’s tool for getting the answers he needs from people who don’t want to talk. Fortunately, Dex was saved by the skin of his teeth when Michael and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) showed up to dispute that Dex could possibly have anything to do with The Hook. They planted enough doubt in Sonny’s mind that he had to hold off on harming a hair on Dex’s head.

That being said, Dex wasn’t showing any signs of confessing to who he was working for despite the threat of the carving turning him into Thanksgiving dinner. Sonny might have more resources than Michael does to bend Dex’s will, but that doesn’t mean they’ll work.

GH Spoilers — Dex Heller Prefers The Crime Life

While Michael has been able to offer Dex significant monetary reward for his covert work inside of Sonny’s organization, there’s one thing he may have underestimated. Dex seems to have taken a liking to Sonny’s world, and Michael can’t compete with that. The power that Dex’s new role in Sonny’s organization has come with has lit a fire in Dex that he kind of lifes. Will he give it all up to help Michael settle the score, or might Dex develop his own agenda for wanting Sonny’s business to survive?

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Corinthos Isn’t Playing Nice Anymore

Since Michael became committed to the idea of seeking revenge on his father, his personality has shifted a bit. He’s more withdrawn, and in many ways has begun to mirror Sonny’s character. Michael is aggressively protective of Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) — the mother of his children, and he seems to have put talks about ELQ on the back burner right now in favor of something more personal. He’s so tuned out of what actually matters most though that he doesn’t even notice Willow is battling cancer and hasn’t told him. Michael used to be more of a mellow guy. Let’s not forget, he managed to fake his way through marriage to Nelle Benson-Jerome (Chloe Lanier). Revenge may not be the best look for Mikey.

GH Spoilers Indicates – Dex Heller May Not Have to Choose

There’s a third option we haven’t explored here. Dex might not have to choose between Sonny and Michael, because someone could make that choice for him. But who? As Joss grows closer to Dex and more obsessed with knowing everything she can about him, it’s likely she’s going to be the one who discovers he is working for Michael. What will she do with that information? Will she be able to convince Dex to walk away from both of the Corinthos men and stay out of their war? Might she urge Michael to confess what he’s done to Sonny, or will she worry Sonny would retaliate against Dex regardless? What matters to Dex is also going to start to matter to Joss.
