Also, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) makes a promise to Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattson) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) delivers a warning.
Carly tells a friend at Charlie’s Pub that she’s going to get her life back, and she’s taking the first step. She has made a decision to attend a conference in Aruba that she had hesitated to go to because of the recent attack on Ava Jerome (Maura West).
Carly had been concerned because of her daughter Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) trauma at finding Ava and Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) needing her that she should not go.
Carly has decided to move forward on the trip to the conference which she feels will help her decide her career path for the foreseeable future. She’s completed her registration, gotten her passport in order and made flight arrangements so she’s set.
Meanwhile, at the pool on the roof of The Metro Court, a soaking wet Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) emerges from the pool. He tells a dour looking Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) he owes him an apology, obviously relating to some past action.
This is likely a long overdue apology for trying to trick him into divulging his past before he was ready. Drew had pretended to offer Marshall a job and he would have had to sign papers to agree to a background check.
That was in an attempt to help Curtis uncover Marshall’s past and what he was hiding.
At Port Charles Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) office, Curtis has barreled into her office as she and Stella Henry (Vernée Watson) were talking.
Stella had just confessed to Jordan that she had swiped her signed divorce papers over a year ago and doesn’t remember what happened to them.
Curtis had just talked to his attorney and found out he and Jordan are still legally married, and he’s demanding answers.
Curtis says to an uncomfortable Jordan if she has a theory, he’d like to know what it is. He just got engaged to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and they’re trying to set a date; Stella looks mortified.
Brando is still talking to Sasha about taking over as her guardian so that the court would look more favorably at her situation, considering her fragile emotional and mental state. This was a suggestion by Sasha’s attorney, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) to avoid prison time for the assault on Grant Smoltz’s (David Lautman) car.
At first, Sasha bolted out of the room, not even wanting to consider giving up her freedoms of choice even to her husband. But recently, after having a meltdown at The Port Charles Grille when Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) suggested she step down as the Face of Deception, she finally admitted she needed help.
In tears, she makes an important decision and it’s likely to allow Brando to take over; he promises it won’t be for longer than it needs to be.
Josslyn wants a favor as she asks Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to keep “this” between them; she’s apparently talking about their recent contact, which has been more than once.
Joss is struggling with strong attractions to Dex, which appear to be mutual, as she is still dating Cameron Webber (William Lipton). She can already tell Cameron is getting insecure about their relationship and she’s trying to keep him from getting full blown jealous.
Josslyn and Dex had recently dumpster dived together to retrieve Avery Jerome-Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) charm bracelet and she’d told Cameron about that, but he hadn’t had a good reaction.
She and Dex may be meeting at Charlie’s Pub for a reason–so Cameron doesn’t know they’re meeting.
At the hospital, Portia visits and is possibly checking up on Ava in her hospital room in the ICU as a doctor. Ava, still recovering from her brutal attack, admits to Portia that her husband, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is capable of very bad behavior.
She could be referring either to his naked romp with Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) or her increasing suspicions that he is her attacker. Sonny has been putting a lot of bugs in her ear about his suspicions of Nikolas.
It appears Nikolas and Sonny are both still in the hospital as Sonny buttonholes Nikolas with his suspicions of him as well as a clear warning. He tells Nikolas he is not going to like what’s going to happen, and what’s going to happen is he’s going to tell Jordan he thinks Nikolas attacked Ava.
Viewers will recall Sonny’s conversation with Ava where he put together all his reasons for thinking Nikolas attacked his wife.
Ava wouldn’t admit anything but it was clear Sonny got her to thinking by what she told Portia. Now Nikolas is the one who needs to watch his back even if Sonny is going about things “legally.”
