General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s Shocking Ally — Dante Crosses Over To The Dark Side

General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is used to being on the wrong side of the law. He’s been running one game or another in the organized crime world since he was still a kid, and now he’s one of the most well-known mob bosses in the world. But a tragedy is about to strike Sonny’s business in a way he always knew it could but hoped it would never come to.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has been plotting against his own father to dismantle his business and everything it embodies. With the help of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) pretending to be an asset to Sonny while he’s really delivering inside information to Michael, they’re planning to take Sonny down. When it happens, none of his family will believe who comes to his aid.

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Corinthos’s Takedown Begins

Michael just tried to give Dex the ax. He’s just not feeling this arrangement anymore. Just like Sonny, Michael keeps feeling like he can’t fully trust Dex to get the job done without getting into trouble. Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) has only added stress to the equation. Dex has once again managed to convince Michael to stay the course, assuring him they’re very close to having the information they need to do Sonny in.

GH Spoilers – Indicate Carly Spencer Might Step Up To The Plate

Michael might not have thought this plan through as much as he thinks he has. While he believes he will have enough ammunition to put Sonny away for good, that doesn’t mean Sonny’s business would cease to exist. The police may move in and confiscate much of his assets, but they would find it impossible to get everything. Sonny has diversified so much of his business over the years to protect himself from this kind of thing.

This means even with Sonny in jail, the show goes on. Without Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) around though, who would man the ship? Certainly, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) won’t be a wise choice. Michael won’t believe it when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) considers taking the reins again.

Of course, when Michael thinks nothing could catch him off guard more than Carly turning her back on Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and getting involved in Sonny’s business, someone else will throw him for an even bigger loop. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) just might sabotage some of Michael’s efforts to hold their father accountable.

Dante warned Sonny recently that he’s not going to go against the oath he took just to protect his dad, and Sonny made sure Dante knew he understood and wouldn’t hold it against him. That being said, if given the opportunity, would Dante really turn on his dear old dad? Rumor has it Dante is going to cross over to the wrong side of the law, too. Like father, like son?
