General Hospital Spoilers: Ryan Will Have To Choose, Ava Or Esme

General Hospital spoilers reveals Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is mostly used to getting his way, especially when it comes to the women in his life. Generally, he controls them — through force or manipulation. Being that he is currently incarcerated at Spring Ridge, and having to pretend to be locked in and unable to move or communicate, he’s been using manipulation on Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).

The emotional attachment she feels to him as her father is strong, but what’s even stronger is their shared love of violence and revenge. As Ryan savors the idea he’s holding onto of being with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) again someday, Esme is still itching to seek her own form of justice on Ava.

When Ryan found out The Hook attacked Ava, he was sure Esme might be behind it. His anger knew no bounds as he leapt from his wheelchair and stormed toward his daughter. Ava was supposed to be untouchable. She was his and his alone, and no one — even Esme — was going to take that opportunity away from him. Esme isn’t going to make things that simple as she grows tired of Ryan’s obsession with Ava and demands he choose between his love and his daughter.

GH Spoilers – Indicate Esme Price  Has All the Power

While she’s not exactly seeking to go against her father’s wishes, Esme has had quite enough of Ava’s wrath. With Ava in the way, Esme has no shot at making things work with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), the father of her child. In addition, Ava will never let them be happy and will seek to take Nikolas’ fortune if she learns about the baby before their divorce is final. The way Esme sees it, life would be simpler with Ava out of the way. However, when Ryan learns of the twist in Esme’s plans, he will be furious at the mere thought of Esme taking Ava out, and will insist she bring it to a halt. Without any power to really stop her, he’s going to have to be more clever than making threats from inside a prison.

While Esme thinks she has the upper hand and all the leverage over Ryan, he’s going to pull out a wild card that could leave Esme flailing in the wind. According to GH spoilers, Ryan recognizes that the reason Esme hates Ava so much is because he loves her. In an effort to show his love for his daughter, he might be willing to give up the name of Esme’s birth mother. When Esme realizes that Ryan has known who her birth mother was all along, her anger might cause Ryan’s plan to backfire on him. Still, she’s going to want that name.
