General Hospital Spoilers: Mac Isn’t Cody’s Dad — Scott is!

General Hospital spoilers have been quite clear that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) must be Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) father, and there’s been little focus on the idea that Scott or anyone else could be. The results of Cody and Mac’s impending DNA test are going to make heads spin as everyone involved tries to reconcile who else could have fathered a child with Dominique.

General Hospital Spoilers — You’re Not a Match

Mac and Cody haven’t really spent any time thinking about what it will be like to know they aren’t related. Just the opposite — they have both obsessed and went back and forth on whether they want to know if they are. It’s almost as if it never occurred to them that Dominique could’ve had a child with anyone else, despite the fact that she did. When the test results come back showing Mac and Cody are not related at all, they both might appear a tad bit disappointed. Felicia might be more upset than Mac, and Cody will shake it off while feeling more alone than ever. His almost-sister, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will wonder if it’s a blessing in disguise after the earful Britt gave her.

GH Spoilers Indicate Dominique Only Had One Child

Back in the day, Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson) and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) fell in love and had a child. That child was the product of IVF since Dominique was terminally ill at the time. She and Scott agreed to let Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) carry their baby instead. Baby Serena Baldwin (Carly Shroeder) was born after her mother’s passing, and has been offscreen for several years now.

Given that Dominque had no known children before settling down with Scott, and that she and Scott used IVF to conceive their daughter before Dominique died, it’s hard to pin down a time in which Dominique could’ve bore any other children. Unless, of course, those children were also born sometime after Dominique had died.

General Hospital Spoilers — Cody is a Baldwin Boy

When she passed away, General Hospital spoilers show Scott resigned himself to life as a single father to his baby girl, but he would have Lucy’s undying help as he brought up Serena. While he’s certainly thought of Dominique over the years, he never considered he had to worry about what could have come of the other fertilized embryos the couple may have produced during their time doing IVF.

As it turns out, Serena’s egg wasn’t the only one to survive, and while Cody wasn’t implanted into Lucy for surrogacy, he may have been given to someone else. A negative test from Mac isn’t going to lead anyone to this version of the truth just yet, but it’s coming. How will Scott react when he finds out he has a full grown son he never knew about — and that it’s someone he’s not too keen on to begin with? Will Cody’s resentment toward Scott for giving away Dominique’s assets wear off in trade for a shot at a father-son relationship? Stay tuned for more GH news and updates!
