The murderous pair of lovers might be the steamiest potential couple in Port Charles right now as they plan to capitalize on their shared love of torturous revenge and go after whoever they suspect has harmed their dear daughter, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).

In the process, they’re both going to come to the realization that they feel rather wronged by not having the opportunity to raise Esme themselves. Ryan had such a chance stolen from him when Heather skipped town with his baby on board and left him in shambles. As she comes to see how much it would have meant to him to raise his daughter, she might have another plan in store to help make amends with him before he decides to make her pay for what she’s done.

General Hospital spoilers show Heather and Ryan’s first order of business is going to be figuring out what happened to Esme. She hasn’t been to see her father in weeks, and their last visit was chocked full of details about her plan to take Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) down. Ryan relished the details of Esme’s plan, and he assumes the first place she was headed with her plan in tow was Spoon Island.

However, that’s the last he heard of Esme, and no one else has heard anything about her either — apart from that single sighting. When it was reported that Esme was seen on the pier, it was Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) who reported the sighting. When Heather learns this, she might come to suspect Elizabeth is up to something, as she has bad blood with the Webber family. This would align perfectly with Jeff Webbers (William R. Moses) recent visit to Spring Ridge to warn Heather to stay away from his family.

Heather doesn’t feel completely secure about this plan to find Esme. If they do manage to get out of Spring Ridge, she’s worried Ryan could retaliate against her. She left him and took his child with her — a child he didn’t know anything about.

A normal person might agree to make amends with Heather, but she knows a psychopath like Ryan doesn’t care for second chances. He’s always out for blood, and he could be craving hers. The only way Heather sees a chance at getting back in Ryan’s good graces is if she can give him back what she took from him all those years ago.

Heather and Ryan are certainly past their prime and not gearing up to make a baby. Fans might have embraced Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) pregnancy in her forties, but this would be pushing it. However, these resentful and remorseful parents are going to go searching for their daughter. When they discover she’s being held against her will — and that she’s pregnant, their response might not be to immediately rescue Esme.

In fact, they could be planning to remain watchful for when Esme goes into labor. Ryan and Heather might be far more interested in a second chance raising a child than they are dealing with the issues Esme brings to the table after a childhood absent of the kind of love only her parents could give her.
