General Hospital spoilers and updates reveals Liz Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) didn’t have any emotional problems right after Franco Baldwin (ex- Roger Howarth) was killed. However, now that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is in town, Liz finds herself in a mental institution over unexplained issues. Could Esme be the trigger that set off Liz’s emotional problems? General Hospital’s Tom Baker (played by Jay Lacopo in 1998) brutally raped Liz when she was a young teenager. Although Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) helped Liz get past the rape, perhaps there was a secret child that Audrey Hardy (Rachel Ames) helped to get rid of.

Audrey was very protective of Liz because of the way her parents had simply walked off and left her. As a nurse, Audrey also had several connections in the medical field. Perhaps Liz got pregnant by Tom and after hiding it until the baby was born, Audrey handed the child off to someone else and it was never talked about again. Could Liz know deep down that Esme is her daughter and that is what is causing her mental breakdown?

GH Spoilers – Perhaps Liz Baldwin Could Not Face That Child

General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint Liz may have given birth to her rapist’s child because she nor Audrey believed in abortion. However, once Liz saw this secret baby she became withdrawn and wanted no part of the child. Audrey would never force Liz to keep a child that she could not love. However, Audrey could have placed the baby with someone and kept track of her without telling Liz. Audrey also could have revealed this secret child years later if Liz believed it had died.

General Hospital Spoilers – Esme Prince May Remind Liz Baldwin Of Tom Baker Subconsciously

General Hospital’s Liz may have retained some knowledge of this child through Audrey at some point. However, it is more than likely that Audrey would have told her the baby died to help her get past the grief. Perhaps something about Esme reminds Liz of her rapist and that is why she has suddenly begun to act strangely.

Could Liz know that Esme is her child that she never expected to meet? Perhaps Liz ran across some information that ties Esme to Tom? Could Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) have even adopted Esme under his alias years ago?

Something has clearly set Liz off and it is very unlikely that it has anything to do with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Is Liz struggling to try to deal with a sudden memory of her brutal experience?
