General Hospital Spoilers: Cody And Mac Bond Over Dominque

General Hospital spoilers tease that the revelation that Cody Bell’s (Brock Kelly) mother is Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson) has caused several Port Charles residents to look at their pasts with her. As viewers know, Dominique was married to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) when she died and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was the surrogate for Dominique and Scott’s baby.

While the timing doesn’t seem right for Scott to be Cody’s father, Dominique was involved with another man in Port Charles before Scott. And while their relationship didn’t ultimately work, Mac Scorpio (John J York) still remembers his time with Dominique fondly.

General Hospital Spoilers – Dominique Stanton gave up her baby!

General Hospital spoilers show Cody only found out recently that Dominique was his mother because he was raised by the Bell family. Dominique never mentioned that she had a son when she was alive and living in Port Charles. There is a possibility that for some reason, she doesn’t remember being pregnant and blocked it out for some reason. But it seems more likely that she gave up her baby and kept it a secret to protect him from the man she was married to Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia).

GH Spoilers – Leopold Taub was a dangerous criminal!

Taub was a criminal who was involved with Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). If another man fathered Dominique’s baby, she would want to protect that baby from Taub’s wrath. Similarly, if Taub was the father of her baby she would want to make sure he didn’t have any role in raising him. Either way, it couldn’t have been an easy decision for her, even though Cody doesn’t know that yet. Currently, he just believes that Dominique didn’t want him and abandoned him. But it was most likely not true.

General Hospital Spoilers – Mac Scorpio won’t let Cody Bell talk badly about his mother!

Mac may or may not be Cody’s father but he still remembers his time with Dominique fondly. Look for Mac to finally tell Cody that he was once involved with Dominique. Mac seemed to have an instant connection of sorts with Cody but that may just be because of how much of Dominique he can see in Cody. Nevertheless, Mac won’t want Cody to badmouth her and will insist that Cody learn about his mother from him, someone who once loved her. Cody may never know exactly what the circumstances of his birth were, but after talking with Mac, he will know that she wouldn’t have given him up without reason. Look for the two of them to form a bond even if they are not biological father and son.
