Eastenders spoilers reveal that a few weeks ago, there was word that Dyer could be leaving the soap. At first, not many fans took it seriously. After all, during the past nine years, Dyer has been the focus of exit rumors and all of them turned out to be false. Unfortunately, this time it just happens to be true. Sources told the Mirror,

“BBC bosses have been desperate to keep him. But he’s been insistent and when Sky approached they gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse. It’s a new chapter for Dan and he’s over the moon.”

Even though Mick and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) have overcome impossible odds, they are currently experiencing distance. That distance is both physical and emotional. Right now, Linda is living away from Walford. That leaves Mick struggling to keep the Queen Vic afloat while doing damage control within his family.

With any sport – especially a fight sport – there are risks. So, some fans are wondering if this could lead to Mick’s exit. Express speculated that Mick might end up dying after sparring in the boxing ring. Express wrote,

“… one wrong blow to the head could see him knocked unconscious… they could become seriously worried when he is unresponsive. With the paramedics rushing him to the hospital, the medical professionals could run some scans and discover there is no activity in his brain. The likes of Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) and Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill) will be left heartbroken [as] their son and father have [sic] died.”

Eastenders spoilers reveal that the BBC soap issued a statement after Dyer’s exit was reported. A spokesperson said that Dyer would exit later this year, indicating it would toward the latter half of 2022.

While that doesn’t mean Mick won’t sustain injuries in the boxing ring, it does imply that he’ll survive the fight. Of course, it’s always possible that Mick could end up in a coma and the plug isn’t pulled until months later.

Or, maybe Mick does die and the next several months are flashbacks and memories of Mick as the family grieves. We will just have to keep watching to find out what happens with Mick.
