DOOL Spoilers: Xander Turns To Gwen After Sarah Dumps Him!

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Xander Cook (Paul Tefler) can’t seem to catch a break. Xander has tried to be a better man for his wife Dr. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) but when he struggled to find legitimate employment, he took Ava Vitale (Tamara Braun) up on her offer to help her kidnap Susan Banks (Stacey Haiduk).

The plan went completely off the rails when Susan died and Xander has been worried that his role in the kidnapping will be exposed. Sarah was already suspicious of Xander, but thanks to the help of Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), Xander has so far been able to keep his involvement under wraps.

But one way or another, the truth is bound to come out. For one thing, Ava is threatening to reveal what Xander did if he doesn’t help her escape police custody. So far, Ava hasn’t ratted Xander out, but if he fails to come through for her, she will do just that. Ava has nothing left to lose and is desperate, so she has no reason not to take Xander down with her unless he helps her. Of course, Xander has another option.

If Xander can’t figure out a way to help Ava escape he might toy with the idea of killing her before she can talk. It does seem as if Ava’s days are numbered, so she might very well turn up dead. And even if Xander doesn’t kill Ava himself, it’s quite possible that Gwen might take matters into her own hands. It’s no secret that Gwen is still in love with Xander and she might silence Ava herself in order to protect him from going to prison. Xander would never ask Gwen to do something like that, but she could easily make that decision herself.

According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Sarah already suspected that Xander might have been involved in Susan’s kidnapping, but he lied to her face that he was innocent. When she discovers that not only did Xander help kidnap Susan and lie about it but also that Gwen helped cover it up it will surely be the end of their marriage. If that happens, look for Xander to turn to the one person who has stood by him the whole time and that’s Gwen. Gwen may have a chance with Xander after all even if they both end up in prison because of it!
