DOOL Spoilers: Why Nicole Really Married Rafe

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Nicole doing her best to make her new marriage work, but with Eric back in town and seemingly everywhere she turns, that will be easier said than done.

Apparently, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) wanted to just get her wedding to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) over with so bad that they eloped in secret and even the fans didn’t see what was happening. All Nicole did was announce she was married and the audience was relieved they didn’t have to see it.

Of course, that left Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) heartbroken because she told him the news just as he was about to tell her that he was still in love with her and sorry for everything. Unfortunately, he was too late and once Nicole told him she was married, he quickly backed off. That doesn’t mean that Nicole is not still in love with Eric and next week people close to her question her on why she impulsively married Rafe.

DOOL Spoilers – Nicole Walker Won’t Listen To Her Heart

Eric and Nicole have been going back and forth with one another for more than two decades and their life has always been filled with strife and that’s not what she is getting from Rafe. However, the heart wants what the heart wants, and staying away from Eric won’t be easy.

“At this point, Nicole is still suppressing those feelings,” Arianne Zucker said in the July 19, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “People are bringing it up because there’s a look in their eye, and quite honestly, not so much tome as gone by that they haven’t been together. Nicole can see why people are asking. It’s probably because there’s still a lot of love there and these particular two have a hard time not loving each other.”

That doesn’t mean Nicole doesn’t want to make her latest marriage work because, in the end, she needs a man who won’t constantly confuse her or upend her life. “Rafe’s always been this stable guy,” Zucker said. “And Nicole wants stability in her life. Rafe is grounded and I think that’s what Nicole really loves about him.”
