Reports say Burton will be working alongside fan favorites such as Stephen Nichols (Steve Johnson), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Johnson), Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans), and Drake Hogestyn (John Black).

Specific details of Burton’s return are being kept under wraps for the moment. However, Burton’s return promises to include “more mystery, high-stakes adventure, and romance”. Of course, Michaels was romancing Hope right to her death when we saw him last. In the end, Harris couldn’t kill Hope but that didn’t stop him from retrieving the prism from her.

Steve Burton made his debut on daytime tv on Days Of Our Lives in 1988 and played Michaels until 1990. Michael was tangled up with Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) in high school. Michaels wanted to sleep with Eve after learning she was a prostitute. However, Michaels fell in love with Even. When the truth came out she want nothing to do with him.

Michaels left town after his botched romance and was never seen again until he decided to romance Hope in his attempt to retrieve the three prisms that Stefano Dimera (Joe Mascolo) tried to secure back in the 80s. Of course, Harris was working for the presumed dead Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson). Megan wanted the prisms to save Bo Brady (Peter Reckrell) who has been presumed dead for several years.

For those who don’t know, Days of Our Lives moved to online only in September. Instead of renewing the show for network tv, it is now only available on Peacock.
