DOOL Spoilers: Lucas Came In Contact With The Killer, Tried To Save Abigail’s Life

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and rumors tease the reason Lucas Horton (Bryan Datillo) had a cut on his hand is because he came in contact with the killer! He wasn’t trying to kill Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller)- future DOOL episodes may reveal he was trying to save her life!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Lucas Horton Went On A Bender And Couldn’t Remember What Happened

Previous DOOL episodes revealed that Lucas went on a bender and couldn’t remember what had happened the night before, waking up in a room in the Salem Inn! He had a terrible headache, of course having a hangover-he hadn’t fallen off the wagon in years and had a bad cut on his hand that was bandaged. When he found out his niece had been murdered, he was afraid that he had done it, in an effort to keep her from exposing his crime!

He had found out from his mother, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) knew that Lucas had kidnapped Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and framed EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel).But Chad had stopped Abby from going to another state to question a henchman Lucas had used, and stopped her from investigating the kidnapping!

DOOL Spoilers – Lucas Horton Would Not Have Killed His Niece In His Right Mind

Lucas would not have killed his niece in his right mind although if he were not – meaning drunk out of his mind – he’s not so sure! He worried that Sami, who he planned to propose marriage to once she returns to Salem, might dump him again if she knew – there’s no way to spin it except desperation. Lucas can’t risk Sami ever finding out that he kidnapped her ‘for her own good” to get her away from EJ and hired henchmen which he rescued her from!  Before he stole the bottle of liquor from Brady’s Pub, Kate had just told him about Chad knowing the truth and Abigail’s intention to write an investigative series! Since he woke up with no memories of what happened and his hand was cut and bandaged, he couldn’t help but suspect himself!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Lucas Horton May Have Intended To Talk Abigail DiMera Out Of Investigating Further

Lucas, perhaps drinking some of the stolen liquor in an attempt to work up his nerve, may have intended to seek out his niece to talk her out of investigating. He may have thought of a believable story to tell her to explain that Chad had a misunderstanding of why Lucas had been using Chad’s laptop. That is where Chad had gotten the idea that Lucas framed EJ for Sami’s kidnapping and had done so himself!

If Lucas had gotten to the DiMera mansion about the same time Abigail was murdered, he could have encountered the killer! Lucas may have tried to stop the killing but was too late, so he may have been too scared to call 911 and returned to his room to drink it away!

DOOL Spoilers – It Is Doubtful Lucas Horton Killed Abigail DiMera

It is very doubtful that Lucas killed Abigail, because he had no blood on him when he woke up and a bandage on his hand. The drunk he went on may not totally explain his lack of memories, because if he saw her or saw the killing he’d have had to run for his life! He could have simply blocked out the trauma and then finished his bender when he returned to the Salem Inn, drinking the horror of what he’d seen and experienced away. Lucas’ conscience will not let him sleep at night until something happens to prove to him he’s not the killer, or forensics show he left no DNA at the crime scene! Or, his memories return and he’s thinking more clearly!
