Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) will reel over Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) truth bomb in an upcoming DOOL episode!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Eli Grant Was In A Coma After He Was Shot

Eli Grant has been comatose since he was shot by Lani’s birth father, TR Coates (William Christian) after he caught him with drugs, with Coates assuming Eli was dead! Coates had just made a drug deal and then dropped the drugs on the ground when Eli surprised him in the park. He and Eli struggled, and Coates shot Eli and then he called his drug dealer to come back because he needed something.

What he needed was a patsy – Coates killed the drug dealer and made it look like a takedown gone bad. There was one problem with that, of course – Eli had not gone out to catch a drug dealer, he went on his own!

DOOL Spoilers – Eli Grant Finally Wakes Up From His Coma; And Remembers All!

After at least two months comatose, Eli finally wakes up, and Lani and her family are absolutely thrilled, as well as Eli’s! Julie and Doug Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes, Bill Hayes) will likely have a celebration party to welcome Eli back home. But first things first – Eli needs to tell what happened to him, and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is called.

Days of Our Lives spoilers show Rafe is back in the police commissioner’s seat after being framed by Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and exonerated and released. Eli remembers everything and tells Rafe why he was in the park, looking for Coates on his own after getting a tip from his ex-girlfriend, Beth Howard (Donielle Artese).

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Rafe Hernandez Is Not Surprised By Eli Grant’s Story

Rafe is not surprised by Eli’s story, and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) who is also there when Eli makes his statement is even less surprised! Coates isn’t the first criminal to claim he got religion and is a changed man, and jailhouse conversions usually don’t stick! Someone with a history like Coates’ of abuse, violence, and drugs isn’t easily rehabilitated and they really, really have to want to change.

Beth had told Eli that Coates hadn’t changed one bit and he had been using and dealing and abusing her too! Coates was very young when he scared Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) enough to give Lani to her sister to raise, but he was the same old Ray with Beth!

DOOL Spoilers – Eli Grant Lays A Truth Bomb On Lani Grant About Her Father

Both Paulina and Lani have been conned by Coates by the time Eli has awakened, and who knows what happened to Beth! She hasn’t been seen since Coates cornered her in her hotel suite and a scream was heard – he threatened her with making sure she wouldn’t tell his secrets! Paulina has let him be around their grandchildren and Lani and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) have both warmed up to him! Viewers can imagine that Lani will be horrified when he tells her how he was shot and who shot him, and why he was going after Coates! She has to warn her mother because Coates has been making plays at her!
