Around the same time as Philip’s fiasco, Kate was dealt a bombshell by another son. That is when Lucas admitted that he was the one who kidnapped Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). When Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) interrupted Lucas planting evidence to implicate EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), the two struck a deal.

Now Chad is having to deal with this huge secret he is keeping from everyone, including Abigail. Looking for a good new story, Abigail wants to solve Sami’s kidnapping case. Chad still hasn’t told his wife the role he played in framing EJ.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Abigail gets close to the truth and is brutally murdered. When Lucas tells his mother that he can’t remember what happened that night, she might assume he killed Abigail.

Kate is already conflicted about how far Lucas is going to keep his secret about Sami’s kidnapping. After Abigail is found dead, Kate might think she made a mistake protecting her son.

Kate will be at a crossroads and has to make a decision that will affect many lives. The right thing would be to tell the police everything and let them do their job. If Kate goes this route, she wouldn’t just be exposing Lucas’ secrets. Kate would also be exposing herself as well as Chad’s role in framing EJ.

This could lead to some messy family dynamics, especially since Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain) return to Salem demanding answers about Abigail’s death. When Chad sits and thinks about his decisions, he could blame all kinds of people for Abigail’s death. However, he could also blame himself.
