DOOL spoilers reveal that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) brainwashed Stefan after giving the “dead” patient Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) heart. Dr. Rolf warned Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) that the brainwashing didn’t go as expected the first time around.

In fact, Dr. Rolf made a special mention that Stefan’s love for Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) was much stronger than expected.
