The basement discovery will make this celebration controversial the way it is, but it may be controversial for more than one reason; Victor may still not be totally accepting of Bonnie. As with certain other family members, Victor has come to the point of toleration but he’s still not in agreement with all of her flamboyant ways. Of course, now that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) has moved in, Bonnie’s tame compared to him-at least she hasn’t practically turned the mansion into a brothel.
Some of Bonnie’s decorating ideas and ideas for the party may still be a little controversial in Victor’s eyes, but he’ll go along with it. Sometimes he probably forgets the days when he was younger and more fun and feels like he’s been old forever as many aging people do, but Bonnie will focus on fun.
At some point in the celebration, there’ll be noise heard that’s definitely not being caused by the partygoers, and Victor and Maggie will become concerned. They won’t know for sure if there are burglars in the basement, which would be of great concern, or air in the pipes, which would mean a leak. Either scenario could be expensive and costly, which will be upsetting to Victor, and previews tease that Justin, Bonnie and Alex will head up the search. Maggie, who killed a roach in Xander and Sarah Cook’s (Paul Telfer, Linsey Godfrey) motel room she described as the size of a cocker spaniel, may fear a rat. Maggie will be correct that a rat’s responsible for the noise, but the rat won’t be the size of an elephant, just the size of Xander.
It looks like Bonnie, Justin and Alex are the first to find the source of the noise, and Victor and Maggie may be behind them; Xander had kidnapped Susan. He was paid by Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) but he’ll have an attack of conscience, so he might be the one to untie her. Bonnie will be the first on the scene with a flashlight and Justin and Alex will be shocked at the sight.
That’s not exactly the kind of gift that Victor and Maggie would have hoped for, possibly for their anniversary, but at least it’s not burglars. Maggie and Sarah will be glad it’s not roaches the size of cocker spaniels or rats the size of elephants.
