Clyde Weston (James Read) and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) ended up with Abigail’s stolen jewelry. However, they are both innocent of murder. Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) was at the mansion and looked guilty at one point. Lucas being hypnotized eliminated him as a murder suspect, though.

Currently, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is being accused of the crime but fans know she’s probably innocent. There is also Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). While the police haven’t suspected either character yet, fans believe one of them could be a murderer.

It is unlikely that Abigail was killed by a series regular. Despite all the clues and connections, Abigail’s murder was probably what Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) initially suspected. Abigail really could have been the victim of a robbery gone wrong.

The mugger certainly seemed desperate for the few dollars in Nicole’s purse and Ava’s engagement ring. The criminal also seems wildly out of control.

Perhaps the criminal didn’t think anyone was home at the DiMera mansion. After all, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) had just left the house with the children. Abigail might have tried to stop the intruder, which could have led to her death.
