Chrisley Knows Best – Stars Todd & Julie Chrisley In Jail?

Bruce Morris, an attorney for Todd and Julie seemed a bit angry after they were found guilty on all charges. Actually, they have an old lady and minor children to look after. Facing potentially 30 years inside seems horrific. In fact, many fans hate that TLC star, Josh Duggar will get out on good behavior in just 10 years’ time. And, the Chrisley’s never engaged in any abuse of kids as far as fans know.

Soon after the trial, the news arrived that the Chrisley Knows Best stars intended to file an appeal. Released, they returned home to await their sentencing. And presumably, to discuss their chances of getting a retrial or an acquittal. Additionally, news emerged that they plan for the future of Nanny Faye, Chloe, and their son Grayson. Now, just a few weeks ahead of their October sentencing, they filed their motion to appeal.

Chrisley Knows Best – Stars Claims For A New Trial

Radar Online reported this week, that Todd and Julie and their legal team submitted a demand for a new trial. Referring to court documents, the outlet noted that an “IRS Revenue Officer named Betty Carter” has been accused “of having ‘lied about the Chrisleys owing taxes for years when she knew no taxes were due.” So, that sounds interesting, but there seems to be more than just a liar on the stand that might help the USA Network stars in their appeal.

Chrisley Knows Best fans now hear that in court, Carter insisted that “the Chrisleys owed taxes for at least years 2014, 2015, and 2016.” However, since then, the document states that Carter was in touch with their accountant and that was corrected. In fact, according to the filing, they didn’t owe those taxes at all.

Chrisley Knows Best Star  – Good Grounds For A New Trial?

The Chrisley Knows Best stars naturally believe that if the allegations that they owed all of those taxes hadn’t appeared in court, the jury might have voted for a different outcome. What prompted the IRS officer to contact the accountant? At this time nobody knows. But, it might explain Savannah Chrisley’s cryptic post last week.

She said on social media, “Never forget 3 types of people in your life. 1. Who helped you in your difficult times. 2. Who left you in difficult times. 3. “[And], Who put you in difficult times.”

If the IRS officer revealed that the court heard incorrect information, then it seems that the judge would have to give some serious thought to granting the motion. After all, it seems that the prosecution can hardly argue away the possibility that the jury made a decision based on false information. Do you agree? Sound off in the comments below.
