Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) annual September kidnapping is over so now it’s time to have a little romance to make up for the lost time and danger. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena are ready to go with their old tradition of feeding one another strawberries, proving you can be happy and sexy at any age.
It was rough going with Orpheus (George Del Hoyo) for a while, but Salem’s men managed to rescue their women, and John and Marlena have the best time of it than the other pairs, especially Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans). In fact, Jada Hunter (Elia Canty) is not happy with the heroism at all and lets Steve know in no uncertain terms he should leave things to the cops from now on.
Meanwhile, Orpheus is not done yet. He may have succeeded in scaring the lights out of John, Steve, and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), but now he has a job for Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton). When Orpheus pays him a visit, Rolf doesn’t know quite what to think. After all, he has enough problems on his hands with Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash), Li Shin (Remington Hoffman), and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). Does he need another criminal, especially one who he shared time in prison with? What could Orpheus want from him?
Paulina Price Carver (Jackee Harry) just loves the idea of a little bit of power and has been doing everything she can to get Abe Carver (James Reynolds) to run for governor. After all, she would then be the governor’s wife. Plus, she knows how much good her new husband can do for this mystery midwestern state. Just look at all the good he has done as mayor of Salem.
However, things are not all that easy and PR guru Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) has news for this political couple that they may not want to hear. Is this going to be a bigger hurdle than they thought? And could it be Paulina who has the baggage? Start streaming Days of Our Lives weekdays on Peacock by 6 am each morning beginning September 12.
