Stefan supposedly died a couple of years ago and his heart was given to Julie Williams (Susan Seathford Hayes) but regardless it looks like Stefan is about to make a big return. As viewers may recall, Stefan and Gabi Hernandez (Camilla Banus) were happily married at the time but a lot has happened in the last two years and Stefan may actually be more interested in another former flame, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin).

Chloe is currently involved with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) after her last romantic partner, Phillip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) mysteriously disappeared. The road to romance has been a rocky one for Brady and Chloe but they seem to be in a good place. But Stefan’s return could change all of that. Stefan has always been quite persistent and could easily pull out all the stops in his quest to win Chloe back. Chloe will certainly be flattered and could eventually begin to entertain the notion of rekindling her romance with Stefan.

Gabi’s true love is Stefan. When he does return, she will most likely drop everything including Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) in order to get back the man of her dreams. Likewise, Brady won’t give Chloe up without a fight. So, look for Brady and Gabi to realize they share a common goal and work together to make sure things turn out the way they want them to. Gabi especially isn’t afraid to play dirty but her actions may actually push Stefan and Chloe back together.

Chloe’s relationship with Brady has put her life in danger more than once thanks to Brady’s ex, the insanely jealous Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk). Now that Kristen is out on parole, Chloe will become wary of looking over her shoulder, wondering what Kristen will do next. Moving on with Stefan may seem like the safest option as long as Kristen is lurking around. It seems as though love is playing a game of musical chairs in Salem and there’s no telling who will end up with each other by the time all is said and done.
